More Photo's On My Music Theme

Clare (LittlemouseLilly) very kindly sent me an email a few days ago with some photo's and some information about how music has changed both with sound and how we buy it.

This is what Clare said about her CDs

'While I was growing up CDs started and it took a while for them to become the popular method from their very first mentions on a program called Tomorrows World (I am sure that your Mum and Dad will remember).'

'My friends and I used to make mix tapes for each other, and the only real way to hear new bands was on the radio, TV, through magazines and from friends - we had no internet. My next musical leap was the Mini Disc but they didn't prove to be that popular and were competing against the early days of the iPod.'

This is how Clare feels about listening to music on her iPod now

'It took me a while to come around to the idea of the iPod - for me part of the musical experience has always included the booklet/song sheet that you get with a CD, Tape and LP. But now I have embraced the digital age and even have an iPod connection in my car.'

Skies.

These are some photos which I took in our garden. The sky was really blue and full of white clouds which we don't see a lot of at this time of year!

I used a tripod which I haven't used before when I took these photo's.

Thank you for all the nice comments and especially thank you to Elaine, Ellie's Treasures who sent me a picture of 7" Single she took for the Circles theme. I had to ask my mum and dad what a 7" Single was!! Now I know what an LP is and a 12" Single is.

It would be great if other people could sent a picture of the theme I'm doing as well.

Autumn Colours.

I found a beautiful sunflower Bram had grown that was still in full bloom with orangey yellow petals. I managed to capture the raindrops on the petals.

I took this photo on our front garden. They are the leaves on our blackcurrant bush. The leaves look bright red.

Shot on : Canon EOS 400D
Aperture : f/4.o

These are our grapevine leaves. I took the picture from underneath the leaves which had a bit of autumn sun shining through.

Plants make their own food by using water from the ground and carbon dioxide from the air. They turn them into food and oxygen. They also use sunlight and chlorophyll. Chlorophyll is what makes leaves green. In the autumn most plants stop making food and the chlorophyll goes away. This is when we see the leaves go yellow and orange. These two colours were always there but in spring and summer when there is chlorophyll the green covers them up.

Sometimes the leaves turn red. This is because there is trapped food inside the leaves. This colour is made in the autumn. When they go brown this means there is waste in the leaves.

What's my project all about?

I decided to do photography as my class 8 project because I enjoy taking photo's but, I also enjoy writing. I decided to combine the two together in a blog because my mum blogs and my family is always a big part of my mum's blogging activity. We've all been featured in it several times!

My aim is to take a photo a week, choose a new theme each week and publish them here. I will be doing this project until at least the end of February, so I may need some suggestions for themes. If anyone is out there reading this please feel free to help.

Thank you.

Tess
